「牽手武漢．粽情端午」演出通稿 Press Release of “Join Hands with Wuhan and Celebrate Dragon Boat Festival” Gala

在2021年中國傳統節日端午節到來之際，武漢的藝術家們為世界觀眾獻上了一台“牽手武漢˙粽情端午”文化藝術盛宴，與各國朋友共慶佳節。

As the traditional Dragon Boat Festival is drawing near, artists in Wuhan city gather to present a feast of culture and art, celebrating the joyous holiday with the world.

武漢是久負盛名的“戲碼頭”，武漢人的人生觀都有一種“戲劇情節”，而看戲，素來是武漢人的傳統。漢劇作為國家級非物質文化遺產代表性項目之一，是武漢市代表性的地方戲劇，在中國戲曲發展史上具有重要地位。漢劇經典劇碼《貴妃醉酒》片段讓國內外的觀眾朋友們體味漢派戲曲藝術的獨特魅力和風采。武漢杖頭木偶戲也通過歡快喜慶的《獅子舞》和獨具荊楚文化特色的《千年禮頌》兩個節目，向觀眾展示了具有170多年歷史的武漢杖頭木偶藝術。

Wuhan is prestigious for being a “city of theater”, for going to the theater is their long-held tradition. No wonder its residents also perceive the world in a romantic, dramatic view.  Han opera, an essence of the state-level non-material cultural heritage, plays an outsize role not just in Wuhan opera, but in the history of Chinese drama. Scenes from the real classic, Drunken Imperial Concubine, blew the mind of audience at home and abroad, with its unique charm and elegance. The festive puppet performance Lion Dance and Ode to Millennium Ceremonies distinctive of the Jingchu culture, introduced the audience Zhangtou puppets, a 170 age-old art in Wuhan City featuring wooden puppet.

武漢雜技《力量》和《頂碗》，通過演員們互相配合和技巧運用，展現了剛與柔、平衡與力量，集驚險、藝術與觀賞性於一體。雙人舞《漢繡知音》通過柔美的舞蹈，將承載著楚文化的漢繡藝術淋漓展現，繡一幅知音畫卷，讓流動的琴聲在錦緞上駐足，描繪出獨屬這方水土的靈秀。

Acrobatic Performance Strength and Balanced Bowls are artistic, thrilling, and fun to watch, presenting toughness and flexibility as well as balance and strength through the cooperation between performers and their deft skills.  The dance for two, Bosom Friends of Han Embroidery perfectly displays the Chu Culture in the graceful dance moves, creating a painting of bosom friends, with the notes lingering on the brocade and depicting the exclusive beauty of this land.

琵琶、竹笛、二胡、中阮、笙這五種中國傳統樂器組合在一起，既演奏出熱情明快的《揚鞭催馬運糧忙》，又演繹了柔美靜謐的《小河淌水》，多種風格、意蘊生動，餘音繞梁、不絕於耳。

Five traditional Chinese instruments – lute, bamboo flute, Erhu fiddle, Zhongruan and Sheng are played together to bring the lively Busily Carting Grain and Rippling Brook. The audience get to appreciate a variety of vivid styles and implications, with the music ringing in their head.

“每逢佳節倍思親”，為解僑胞們的思鄉情愁，“牽手武漢˙粽情端午”演出還為海外同胞們帶來了耳熟能詳的歌曲《茉莉花》，以及融合了民族元素的歌曲《賽龍舟》、《龍船調》和《端午更念我哥回》。

As the Chinese verse goes, “Alone, a lonely stranger in a foreign land, I doubly pine for kinsfolk on a holiday”. To ease the homesickness of overseas compatriots, the gala also presents the well-known folk song Jasmine Flower and Dragon Boat Race, Dragon Boat Melody, and Hope My Brother Back Home at Dragon Boat Festival that blended with ethical elements.

十二個節目，六十分鐘的演出，將呈上一道視聽“大餐”。希望以端午佳節為契機，以歌舞為媒，邀海外友人共嘗中華文化大餐，共品武漢“味道”。同時，也希望武漢元素的展示，能讓世界各國的朋友們瞭解和認識武漢這座傳統與現代文化交融的活力城市，促文明互鑒、民心相通。

Twelve performances in an hour will make a stunning audio-visual feast. In hopes of taking this festival and the fantastic show as an opportunity, we’d like to invite overseas friends to enjoy the our Chinese culture and special Wuhan flavor.   Meanwhile, by demonstrating the Wuhan culture, we hope friends all over the globe will get to know this dynamic city integrating tradition and modernization, promoting mutual appreciation of civilization and people-to-people exchanges.
